If you still got an original Rode Videomic Pro and the flimsy shock mount is getting quite weak and also annoying with the rubber popping off each time when you get it out of your camera bag, you can replace the shockmount with a proper Rycote lyre yourself which is cheaper than buying the brand new mic which only added the lyre mount.

For full blogpost with more info go to: http://www.chungdha.com/2014/05/power-your-canon-dslr-6-hours-for-less.html

In this video I am showing you how to power your Canon DSLR for more than 6 hours for less than $55 battery included.  6hours of battery is enough really for any event. Plus the bit extra is that the battery now is outside the camera and its a battery which is build for film cameras, so these batteries has less problems with overheating. Another thing is that the power indicator actually works and even would go into reds when the battery is low. However the low on these batteries still can film quite long with it in red before its really depleted.

Hardware and Accessories / Affordable DIY Top Handle
February 11, 2014, 04:16:16 AM

Affordable top handle design plus using the Kabuto Focus to enable using the same hand that hold the handle to change focus or zoom. Sorry for the scuffled look of the lens but the lens is pretty old and the weather sealing is literally falling off. And my other wide angle I am filming myself so that what the other lens I could only use to show a correct setup, the lens is actually a Sigma 14mm f3.5 and it is not a Fisheye.

For more info about the Kabutot Focus:

Actually you can buy a different grip instead of the grip I use there are metal camera grips which are shorter but when stacked on top of each other would not become crazy tall but slightly taller for your setup.

As my current grip used in the video are 12.5cm / 4.9" I am not sure how tall your setup is with the grip. The smaller grip are 7.5cm and stacked on top would be 15cm which Should probably be enough.

In this video I am showing you how to build your own gunstock camera rig from camera accessories. Its not a shoulder rig as this is not put on your shoulder but against your armpit, chest or anywhere you want. The great thing about this rig is that is versatile in where you place it and enable you to capture the right angle that you want with less limitations than a shoulder rig.

The price making a gunstock rig varies from the simplest of $15 to $47 USD. So I have listed the different variations you can get it in that suits your budget and the link to Ebay with the right search terms.

In this video I am showing you how to build a cage plus why its would be useful to own one. The base cost around $35 however you can add allot of additional parts to it like a top handle or quick release, but the main purpose it so you can add allot of extra accessories to you camera plus give it a beefed up hold to able to hold the camera bit more stable and the added bonus, if you ever drop your camera, it be protected only if it falls on the cage.

Parts list:
2x $10 Dual Camera bracket - http://goo.gl/b2Lj2z
2x $6 Sponge Camera grip - http://goo.gl/BdgsTK
2x $1-2 Hot shoe adapter - http://goo.gl/epdoXk

Optional
$10 Manfrotto 323 quick release - http://goo.gl/LGxi3L
$4 Ballhead for top handle - http://goo.gl/CALJCL
$1 1/4" Bracket screw -  http://goo.gl/Dx6P71

This link is in Germany, how i can buy this 2 pulleys?? Any one can help me on this? Thanks  :D

Its not german but Dutch but mainly you don't have to purposely order from them if you can find one with similar specs, but if you want to order from them you can email them to order it and use the code or part number KBS100K10v , their email is [email protected]

Makes no sense to build other way around as the other end has no mounting points. Plus both end is equally weighted with something the front with a camera and back a counter weight, so either way would do. But main point would be having a good monopod that can support both weights.

And don't forget to thumb up, subscribe, comment and share this video on Youtube before 15/12/2013 to win several of the pre-assembled parts so you could build your own! And for more DIY film gear check out my DIY HDSLR playlist here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

In this video I will teach you how to build a camera jib with remote tilt made from various camera accessories and you can find in a camera shop. And only need to drill 4 holes through a plastic pulley and the rest is super easy to put together.

Parts list:
2x 10cm Rope Pulley wheels KBS100K10v - http://www.wielen-bandenhuis.nl/groef...
1x Dubble-L Bracket Falcon Eyes TMB-16T - alternatives on Ebay http://goo.gl/Hg7CLX
1x Boom arm grip adapter from Ebay - http://goo.gl/adX55Y
1x Manfrotto 234rc - http://goo.gl/WDm3Vx
1x M8 40mm Bolt
1x M8 90mm Bolt
6x M8 Nuts
4x M5 30mm Bolt
12x M5 Nuts
4x M5 bolt caps
4x Rubber bands
Few meters of washing line cable
Either a sturdy monopod or a boomarm. As if you would get a boom arm you could buy a set which included the boom arm grip plus also weights which lessen the total cost.

Feature Requests / Re: Rack focus stops
November 12, 2013, 02:02:59 PM
This is possible right cause there are read outs where the focus distance is, but need to be in much easier way to see the focus distances in a meter than just only numbers.

Zenitar is not the sharpest lens used all open and f4 it is sharp. I never tried samyang, but I advice going for the 10-22mm f3.5-4.5 and its much wider and can use on full frame just removing the top on the back.
#24
I am waiting till Metabones build a speedbooster for this, if there be a speedbooster then it be awesome as that changes the APSC on this to a full frame.
#25
I use h4n plus ntg2 is OK but i have to say from test I am looking forward to the Sennheiser MKE600 myself which has better directional and get even less ambient also can be powered with AA battery, so the H4N don't use up all too much juice.
