General Chat / 5D3 Raw used at World Series
November 01, 2013, 08:20:36 PM
Hi everyone, I was one of the on site editors at the ALCS and World Series. I brought my 5D3 with ML and got some shots of players at a shoot in a behind the scenes style, shooting behind the main RED camera and also shot the Green Monster at Fenway Park which was used in a pitchers piece. Our primary ENG cams were Sony F55s and I thought my stuff looked better than those. If only the 5D3 could do 120 FPS.... Can I put that on the wish list? lol

Sorry I think I found the answer.

Hello, I'm getting a black bar on the right when I do 3x. It's not there the first few frames then it pops up. I followed all of the settings from the video, 24P 1080 build from couple days ago 5d3 with a Kombuterbay 1000x 64.

Also does 3x the only zoom factor that works? I thought it would go in 2 levels. When I push the zoom button again it goes in on the screen but same mag factor on record.

Anybody find a good way to white balance in Resolve? I'm guessing curves would be better than the color wheels. It's hard to beat Camera Raw for that as it nails it dead on. I'm just saying this because I found some tungsten raw stuff I shot pretty hard to get looking right but ACR got it with one click.

Thanks. That makes sense now. At 1x there are no more pixels so you have to crop in to be able to crop out.

Hello, sorry if this is a newbie question but I've searched everywhere I can think of and can't find anything. The question is how do I get the resolution above 1920? I have been able to do it but now I get an error that says "2048 is not possible in current video mode". I've tried changing the camera resolutions and frame rates and nothing seems to have any effect. There must be some setting as yesterday I got it into 2048 without realizing I did it.
