More great captures. Does the dual iso function work with the 550D? It seems like a fantastic feature. I thought the 7D and MKIII were the only two cameras to work with it??

What a wonderful image. Love the tone and old feel to it. Very nice. I'm intrigued to look into this technique!!
May I ask what aperture this was taken at?

Can you share a few CR2 pics? I'd like to experiment with them (basically the zero noise technique - http://www.guillermoluijk.com/article/nonoise/index_en.htm).
Not sure how I would be able to post??

Also, thanks to everyone for kind comments!! :)

My processing technique for all my images is by blending in the exposures to the final Photomatix image to make sure I have all the shadows and highlights to fall back on. Here's another image.

Bonaly Reservoir, Pentland Hills in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Boats on Threipmuir Reservoir, Pentland Hills, Edinburgh, Scotland.

Here is another image using auto HDR. For this one the camera took 5 exposures at 1ev. All of which were handheld using a pillar to steady the camera.

Professional grade HDR! thanks for sharing.
Noob question. Magic Lantern surely has a built in intervalometer, correct? I'm assuming does to qeue the differents shots needed.....
It certainly does, if you were to shoot a time lapse set the intervalometer for the delay you wish and set to take however brackets at whatever e.v you wish. I have yet to try it as don't want to burn out my sensor - but if were to do so would bracket at 2ev and with 3 shots at 5 seconds between each. I would then batch process the outcomes in Photomatix and edit with Adobe After Effects.

I've still to try out ML's AB
So how many exposures did AB give you for this one.
Thanks :-) 7 exposures were used

Try exposure fusion in Photomatix for a more natural HDR. Put all your bracketed images in one folder. In the Fusion menu select the number of images tacken in sequence. E.g 5. If you have taken bracketed 5 images for one picture it will take the 25 images and edit them 5 pictures at a time. Then stitch the final 5 outcomes together in the 360 pano program. Let me know if the outcome is better upon trying this - if you decide to do so :-)

Click the link in flickr that says view all sizes on the picture you want to post, select a smaller size and right click the image, then select copy. Then when posting it to this forum click between the middle of the [img]x[img]. The x is where you paste the link. Hope this helps!

Hi to all the fellow Canon users using this fantastic firmware hack!
I have been using ML for a couple of years now and thought I would share one of my pictures.

This picture was taken by bracketing 7 exposures, converting with lightroom then tonemapping with Photomatix and then blending in various elements for detail using PS CS5. I then sharpened and used slight colour pops with masking. The majority of my images are edited using between 5 and 7 exposures to make sure I have enough to fall back on. I have just installed the latest ML on my camera and look forward to using the auto HDR function.

Here is a link to my Flickr page:- http://www.flickr.com/search/people/?m=names&q=kdsmith.

Please feel free to add me as a contact and if you have any questions on my technique don't be scared to ask :-)

I am hoping to get out with my camera to try the auto bracketing some time this week so will post my favourite outcome. Thanks for the comments!
