I imported files to resolve after setting "master project settings" "assist reel name.." etc.,. I exported dnxhd 36 for proxy (as usual) and in premiere I did offline editing and exported finalcutpro XML for resolve roundtrip. This time I did not get the "FCP translation result.." notepad along with the xml (unlike in previous project). When i imported the XML to resolve 11. Resolve could not link the timeline to media pool, also nothing is seen under "reel name" section in resolve. Roundtrip failed and i had to manually link files.
Am i doing something wrong? any new tutorial on this roundtrip?
did a fast test with your mlv. and it was media with audio. cant really help you.

tested the latest beta5. 42 clips totalling 8+ minutes.
In resolve when I use autosync based on timecode some wav files will link with the wrong video files.
This will be indicated by wavforms with wrong displays, showing blank spaces.
Aligning them manually and the wav files are ok.

please send me a short MLV example to raw2cdng@phreekz.de. actually i'm a bit confused because of the actual changes regarding the blacklevel. i didn't saw those problems with earlier ml-builds..

the actual ml-builds are quite new (especially regarding the blacklevel-things), some of them (1.2.3 for 5DIII) are bleeding edge. dont change your system if you want to work productive. if you need them, use an older build, something between ~feb09(mlv-audio) and ~apr27.. i am still testing my code with a 5DIII 1.1.3 build from ~apr20, because its workin' and stable. you are not bound to use the newest builds!
One time on 2900 frame, and one time on 3900 frame... this is very strange, because 4 minutes shot with 6000 frames convert ok... Somebody test beta3 with big files 8 minutes and more.
For me The main difference is;
i can record 720p clips continiously using Raw with my 650d,
but i can not do that using Mlv.
650d not powefull enough, or your card is not fast enough...
Can I ask you why did you choose the "roundtrip" so long?
Is possible to cut in davnici and export the clip to adobe premiere for final "makeup"?
I noticed when I import clip from adobe to davinci - I lost the effects applied in premiere... .
I use this "long" roundtrip, because this is the maximum quality and flexability trip... I make offline clip and edit it in Premiere, then I grade final edit in Resolve and then back for final edit/vfx compositing. I strongly advise you to read Alexis Van Hurkman - The Color Correction Handbook 2nd Edition. One of the first chapters cover this topic

nightvision04 is absolutely right. Set it to "Clip" "As Shot" "BMD Film". I'm grading an hour of 5D2 raw footage without LUTs learning resolve lite as I go and it looks very filmic. rec. 709 will show pink fringing and even more moire. The BMD film setting is a vast improvement.
Here's the workflows I've tried both of them getting tripped up at the same point:
Both of these are CDNG to Resolve to AVID back to Resolve
1. Use CDNG to make image sequences
2. Import into resolve
3. Export using either Avid AAF round trip or just using a regular export to DNX 36 8bit files.
4. Edit in Avid
5. Export AAF
6. Open AAF in Resolve, un-clicking "auto import source clips" I have also tried clicking "ignore file extensions" and using EDL to go back to resolve and the same thing happens every time which is that it links to the first DNG in my "master" bin and uses that clip with all the cut points that are given.
The issue is not that it doesn't recognize the cut points, it's that it doesn't link back to the correct DNG files and nothing seems to remedy this including "reconform from bins." I do hope this is my error and not an issue with the CDNG! Sorry for making a ruckus! It also seems that if others are having success with Premiere and FCP that it could be an avid issue.

Where exactly does it get tripped up?
workflow:
import all the files into resolve
export proxies
create timeline in premier, edit and export xml
import xml into resolve
deselecting “Automatically import source clips into media pool.”
Make sure you save the original project in resolve so that all the original clips are in the media pool.

please just link an edl or xml-example. right now i have no time to test myself -
but could it be, your workflow with proxies is not right? are you sure, you're doing it right?
why should resolve know, that m00001.mov picturesequence has to be replaced with m0001.[].dng?
is it described in the edl/xml?

v1.1.6 is out - its the first attempt to fix the edl/xml-Problem - changing filename-structure and inserting Reelname-Tag into header.
