Denoiser II was used quite a bit, but I generally just halved what ever the defaults were at and then put some film grain samples back on top to stop their skin from turning into rubber cheese.

The new WarpStabiliserVFX in After Effects was fantastic on the close up sheet music. The rolling shutter was pretty bad and I couldn't be bothered reshooting. Warp pretty much nailed it.

Hey people,

Here's a thing I shot a couple of months ago on the 5D3 in a poorly lit recording studio. I punched the ISO to 3200 and the footage actually held together.

Three clips are from a 5D2. Treat yourself to a coke if you can spot them.

After Effects now supports bicubic scaling. No need to run image sequences through Photoshop.

Your shot looks epic too!

Amazing! Thanks Irri!

Now all I need to do is to solve my black point issue and I can delete 800GB of .TIFs and give Lightroom a breather.

Hey guys,

I've converted a few clips to cinema dng but they're not showing up in DaVinci file browser. Any ideas?

If I use the normal raw2dng app I can see the sequence in DaVinci, but it looks like balls. If I use raw2cdng the sequence doesn't appear at all and the folder presents as though it's empty.

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, how do I work out what I should change the values to?

I've got a 2.68GB file that was shot at 1280 x 720 at 25 fps.

I'm able to extract files using this technique but each frame it extracts is a collage of 9 frames. If I can work out the correct value I can probably recover a nice bit of footage.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Nevermind. I found a file of very similar size and copied the footer from that. Thanks Shield, I couldn't have done it without you!

I'm getting 1898 frames with the resolution set to 1280x426 (3:1) @ 25fps on a 16GB San Disk Extreme 45MB/s.

It grades nicely and I've put the footage through PFTrack and can easily get a rock solid 3D camera track (I always struggled with the softer compressed stuff).
