QuoteHey, I know I'm late but did anyone have this problem? I can't get rid of it and can't even open Rawanizer anymore :(

same here :/

I shot the Interview using ETTR for Exposure, lighting was available light + reflektor (and the mirror offered nice illumination). i used the LOG Camera Profil in Adobe Camera RAW, then pulled down highlights, whits and the exposure, i also increased the color-dynamic, while pulling down the saturation. After ACR i used the Kodac LOG2HD Color Look Up Table to get back nice natural contrast and color. The Grading methods i use: push the white balance to a warmer color, while lowering (only with curves) the reds midtones, pushing the blues midtones and adjusting the blackpoint to something like 10% blue. with the green curves u can add some look, adding contrast to it. After all i added filmgrain.

in some shots i use neatvideo to either denoise or sharpen (or both) the image (both tools are very great). but in this Shot i simply use an unsharp-mask

hope, i could help you.

5D MkIII RAW Only

2 Pixel vertically is pretty good.

Once we know the offset in pixels, there is no Problem with merging to stereo. Or what do You meen?
#6
Exactly. Then we can also use differential config flies for differential lenses.
That would help a lot.

is the buffer location shift 1-pixel-percised possible? Or is it possible to Place some numbers for x and y values?

hi,

while i am working on my advanced 5DIII Stereo Rig, there could be some advantage beside RAW itself.

when shoting parallel, without convergence correction, you have to fix the two images in Post. infact you are losing resolution on the left and right side of the image, because it has to be cropped down to fit.

if there could be a lock for crop-mode, it would be easier to adjust the images, to avoid some cropping and gain resolution.  Maybe the digital dolly value is not enough exactly for those operations, but maybe there is the chance to shift the crop area pixel-precise?

thinking further the correction could be done relative to the focus distance of the lens.

so anyway, you´ll see some 5DIII 2,5K Stereo Video in the next weeks

and yep, checked rules of physics. :)
cheers.

there is no chance to read out the hole sensor data, is´nt it? the maximum buffer size is on around 3,5k*1.3k on 5D3, right?
would the camera it self be fast enough to read out every pixel of the hole sensor 24 times a sek?

so let me dreaming, but since everything was done here from you amazing guys, i hope for the 5,7k JPG Video anyday.. haha
the Card-Bandwith 24p would be ok, but the camera it self would be the bottleneck?

so crack the JPEG Decoder
crack the hole thing twice
develope a 5,7k JPG Dual-ISO ML Build
and then RUN, find some ammunition bunker, an hope Canon, RED and Arri let you live.

link isn´t working.  :(

i am very interested.
We tried the 256Gb Sandisk 160MB/s but it isn´t faster in reality then 64 GB 1000x and 128GB KB 1050x.
The 64Gb Sandisk is here also and waiting for some tests. hopefully able to achieve 2,5k continuous without DualCard ;-)

the Tamron 17-50 2.8 VC is working fine, u´ll get the bull-eye-effect in FF, but using crop-mode its fine. 1080 is pretty good. 2,5K starts of vignetting. But for 300$ it´s a good sharp lens for the 17mm to normal 51mm. Since you need wide-angle lenses in crop-mode. next weeks i´ll test out a 8mm canon lens, to probably gain 24mm, but i´am pretty sure the distortion is to heavy even in den middle of this fisheye frame. maybe its correctable, may not.

Duplicate Questions / Start Sync with two 5DIIIs
December 23, 2013, 09:39:51 AM
Hi,

i am working on a Stereo 3D Rig with Convergence Sync and multiple crazy features for two 5DIIIs.
You´ll hear more bout this project in the future.
But what realy freaks me out, it the fact, that i cannot really sync the two camera with timecode or genlock.
If there where any option to input some audio, would be amazing. SMPTE for ML isn´t really working, isn´t it?

For now i got them start simultan, but with 1/8 to 1/4 of a frame difference.
I really want to get them closer together.
Luckily i can say, that the two models i owned are not running away from each other over the test time of 20 Minutes.
So for experimental usage i only have to sync up the start of recording.

i build a Y-cable Trigger, witch gives me a difference of 1/8 to 1/4 (max. 1/2 frame in worst few cases)

If you have any ideas, how to sync with more precision, like audio, light, heat or some Rasperri Pi, that all would be amazing!

Greetz.

Nope in M-Mode in two Steps over time. Fading in After Effects with Luma Matte
#17
i startet fairly overexposed and ended little bit under. i shot this in two steps with more exposure at the second. i faded them in post and animated the exposure to fit.

ye the flickering is a little problem, but deflickering software didnt a great job for this...

Hi Guys,

i finished my Project "Überjetzt".

It shows contrary content of the accelerated city life and harmonic nature shots.
Because our world is missing patience.

Shot in Leipzig and Ore mountains, Saxony, Germany

i used my old 550D with ML Intervalometer and CR2-Sequences for timelapse and my new 5D Mark III with ML RAW-Video for the Nature shots.
Converting with RAWMagic, Grading in ACR and AE with log2hd_LUT

have fun to watch and share.

General Chat / Re: Warranty and ML - User Reports
August 15, 2013, 11:23:26 PM
In 2010 Canon repaired my 550D that was crashed over warranty. ML firmeware was still installed.
550d (Same serial numer) came back to me repaired and with clean 1.1.9 and no comments from Canon at all.

Feature Requests / Re: Un-upscaled H.264 output
August 13, 2013, 11:44:59 AM
if that would be possible, we already had 1DC like h264 output. But ML at current time is not able to interfere with the H264 processing in the Camera.
#21
because Crop Mode is pretty hard to compose correctly. To Find Golden Cut it would be perfect

i know, there´s a greyscale-mode, but, thats too laggy for me
#22
hi,

would be a solution, if we could see how much space is available over the screen edges that is recorded.
Maybe thats impossible, but i´ll give it a try.

something like this:

Feature Requests / [ALREADY DONE] FPS Speed Ramp
August 11, 2013, 01:25:34 PM
Hi,

hi, yesterday i got an idea.
would´nt it be great to animate the Frames per Seconds during time?

something like going from time-lapse to 60fps Slow-Mo would be awesome.
And when i think about ETTR there could be also the option to animate the shutter-speed in this options.

Should be awesome to generate a longexposure timelapse that becomes Slow-Mo or Realtime after configured amount of time. or looking at it the other way round Slo-Mo to timelapse.

That´ll be great! is this possible?
