It was supposed to be a feature... you press play and review your raw shots and or delete them. Nobody likes it?
1% of course and it is a good thought, but if you have also pictures in your card, it's a little bit....complicated...I should say...I want to try if creating folders into the card, one for the photos and recording the videos in another folder, maybe could be easier....? ? ? I don't know, I will try it tonight or tomorrow morning...(Greece) and I will reply...Thank you for your effort to do this magic world of Lantern!

Good question. Maybe you must un-load the module that makes the raw player (play_mo module?)
thank you arrinkiiii I will try it.....I was so disappointed by this thing....when I have no RAW videos in my card, everything is simple!
I will give it a try and reply!

IDX is the index of the chunks, you can delete it if you want. I believe in MLV they are not sequential so you can have CF/SD writing at the same time to 2 different files on 5DIII... yea does jack for us.
what do you mean exactly...did I wrote two different files...at the same time?
...sounds good....I have to test it again...!!!which is better, MLV or RAW???
For the moment I'm searching for RAW 2K video and I've got some good results, even with a 233X CF memory card, but only for a few seconds...
To tell you the truth I want to test for longer periods of time and see what happen...
but I have problems when watching the results, if a RAW video is in the card, I can't see my pictures taken in the same card...I have to disable RAW (off) and then reboot or play with Canon's menu. Is it normal, or I'm doing something wrong?

Short Answer: The files ARE the video Raw. To see it, you have to process it with mlv2dng.
Long Asnwer: Read the thread. It´s very long, but there´s a lot of usefull info.
the MLV is RAW video file....but the IDX isn't....what is that?

...I found that after disable the RAW video capability, you can watch the images as before ML...so simple!
it's very interesting that you have to search and experiment for any new move in ML menus....
amazing!

Hello!
I have some problems while playback my images in my camera...
always wants to upload the video files, (RAW video) and I can't see the pictures....I have to wait for the video, finish the upload and then watch the photos....but sometimes, I can't even find the images in my card!
what's wrong? I have all modules on....
is there an easier way to see my photos taken....and do not mess with all the video files...?
If no video file is in my card, there is no problem....
any suggestion?

Hey Chris,
My workflow is:

1) Extracting .DNG files from RAW file with raw2dng -> CLICK
2) Import the first .DNG into Adobe After Effects (16bit/32bit project) and mark "Image Sequence", make certain color corrections in ACR
3) Export to 16bit .DPX files (very large) that you can find as "C1neon Sequence"
4) Import into Adobe Premiere Pro CC again marking "Image Sequence", upscaling and editing, color grading in SpeedGrade via directlink or directly in Premiere
5) Export either to h264 or into Avid DNxHD 10bit/175 and transcoding into h264 via MPEG STREAMCLIP -> CLICK

In step 3 you can also export into losless AVI or any other format you want to work with.

Are you successfull importing the DNGs into Premiere? Used raw2dng it says "this file doesn't include media data".
Do you work with raw2cdng (that's extracting real cinema DNGs)?

Does anybody know where to get raw2cdng apart from the link given in the ML wiki? The page is blocked by my anti-virus.

....so...
I did, 2 different methods...
first I have to say, working with AE CS6 is easier, because the software recognises the .dng files and no processing in PS before...
I did 2 different videos, the one exporting to AVI Lossless via AE CS6 with some 700MB of output video and the second saving in DPX format and then opening the files as a sequence in AP CS6 and exporting the media as H264 16bit always with a final file of 7MB and a video quite at the same quality! I watched the results only in my laptop's screen and not to my desktop big screen to see the differences of the quality, in the small screen seems quite the same...but the video with the double procedure (AE and AP) has twice the time to be done but you have smaller, (huge difference) file sizes and videos that can be played very easy from any media player! 7MB vs 700MB....huge difference...
tomorrow I will upload some examples...
thank's for your advices!
Chris

Hi folks. I've installed ML on my 7D and I've got cyan inscription on the screen: <FlexInfo unconfigured>. How can remove this?

something went wrong during the installation....try to do that again from the beginning...I had the same problem, I did drag and drop the ML files from the new release, but I had in to the same folder the files twice....so, this screen means that some of your ML files are double into the folders or something like that....be care during the installation...for me, by doing it to all my cards, helped me to understand the procedure and fine tune my camera...
give it a second try!

I didnt saw the sequence option and I had so many files in my timeline....!!!!
I did export in Avi mode, because it was my first video sample in RAW, during night, high ISOs and not good quality, but I wanted to figured out what the **** is this RAW capability of our cameras....and.....yes man.....is amazing!!!
soon, I will film a new short video and upload to share the results!
thank you man!

...I have more than 4 hours reading posts about post processing a RAW video file, but I am more confused than before...I tried everything,,but I think I will stay in my Adobe solutions fron Ps, Premiere Pro and After Effects....but my problem is that I haven;t use After Effects in the past and I don't know the way to create a sequence from the frames (psd files from the movie) and send them to Premiere...Could you please give me some details, some instructions?

thnk you for ypur time

Best regards

Chris

thank you crazyrunner33, I did that in the same folder and a DNG file has been created....so easy!
thank's for your help....sometimes, you read a post...continue to read...and after 30min your mind is away!!!

....fixed...
captured RAW video and now I'm converting the files from dng to psd to open with AE like a multiple files....will see...
any suggestion for the next step to finish the video is very acceptable! Do we have to do all this long job for a short video in RAW?
Working 10000 frames in Ps and then in AE and then APremiere for a 30 seconds video? Is there a shorter way?
best regards

hey, guys...good evening from Greece...
after a lot of reading, I finished with my next step to ML by installing the autoboot Magic Lantern for 7D...obviously!
I took all new modules from tragic lantern, copy and replace the old ones, restart, my camera works fine but have some questions....
1) "flex info unconfigured" at the top of the screen....don't know what does it mean and not either if it's bad or good news!
2) I started to upload the modules and the message, "modules will be uploaded with the next start up" comes....
I'm doing the start up again.....nothing new....same messages....the "modules will be up........" nothing changes....for dual iso, raw recording....nothing...
I can't load the modules....what's going wrong?
3) when I'm trying to record a simple movie "MOV" my camera freezes...and a message "err" appears in the top screen...I have to remove the battery and start again...happened every time during recording....10" 5".....15".....movies....not RAW....MOV....(I can't load RAW modules.....!!!)
No one of the modules, works....
your help?

thank's in advance!!!!
