I hate in other forums when people ask this or that about ML. I often direct them here.

You say two hour video. I would have thought that you would progressively see it getting worse  as you watch the video. ie how does the first five minutes compare to the last five minutes?
#3
I think the best solution is a variable ND filter.

Re-format the card. Then run EOScard load the required files. Then try again.

My biggest laugh is the people who only see the blue screen and can't read.

Raw Video / Re: To RAW or not to RAW?

You can always reduce the better quality to match. But then again that's defeating the purpose.

PAL     25 fps
NTSC  30 fps

You'll find it in Canon control panel.

I can get 4k out of my 550d. Only problem is only 3fps. You can only get so much out of these cameras.

General Help Q&A / Re: ML on two SD-cards

Do exactly the same as you did the first card. And I mean exactly. Or do as they say above. There is a hidden boot file that does not copy across if you are just copying from one card to the other.

General Help Q&A / Re: My camera died!! Need help!

Did you accidently cut the exe file and paste.  Check your card and make sure all the files are their.
Remember do not delete the files from your camera as when you first loaded it onto the card there is a hidden file telling canon to boot from card. Therefore if no exe file it will hang and hang looking for it.

For an interview or long recording mutch better to use a timer set 10 minutes and stop start yourself I between questions or natural break. If you have two cameras you can always cut to the other.

Have you thought about using the silent picture mode?
#13
Sky tv I think is broadcast in 720p  which is good enough for most circumstances. So why upscale further.
#14
Unfortunately true. When you connect hdmi the lcd goes off at least it does with the 600d.
But if you have an android phone /tablet using dslr controller you can have both.

Silly question. But why not Davinci 12?

Raw Video / Re: C mount lenses 5x crop mode
August 30, 2015, 08:54:24 PM
I have the lens and c fitting to the t3i. Obviously its way out of focus. I thought maybe just maybe I could add the fd adaptor with the corrective lens to get the focus working. That's why I'm asking if they are both the same fitting. If not do you get such a thing as c to fd then I could try the fd to ef adaptor.

Is an fd mount the same as an ef mount. Bear with me.
I have a c mount 12.5 - 75mm f1.6 bought an adaptor on a whim. Macro only.
Now if I buy a fd adaptor with glass will this fit and work.
C mount + c mount to ef + fd to ef.
Or with the extra thickness of having two adaptors put me back to square one.

The best card is probably the most expensive you can afford.
In saying that you only need one that is a little faster than the camera can use. eg.the t3i can only make use of 21mbs so there is little point in buying the fastest up to 45mbs is more than enough. Now which make for reliability that's another story.

General Help Q&A / Re: I think I just bricked my T3i.
August 23, 2015, 06:12:39 PM
Just a warning to all. First thing every time you have a freeze problem.TAKE OUT THE BATTERY. If not you risk overheating. But as I have never heard of a true bricked camera this has never happened. Or has it?

Why delete ML when it's so useful.

General Help Q&A / Re: Making backup ML cards
August 02, 2015, 01:40:50 PM
Just EosCard then drop the files in that are required. Worked for me and I have six cards.
#23
Not just you but I wish people would put in a little more information. eg camera, lens and maybe which software.
Other than that little rant I enjoyed your video.
#24
Just don't drop the camera when you are swapping cards. This about the only way you will break it with magic lantern.
#25
You only need the fir file if you have a new or formatted card. This is how you make it boot able in camera. I tend to do this in the computer using eoscard then copy the .exe over .
