Firmware 1.3.6 released.

Much of the grunt work for this is complete

Why is that?

Well, finally I dare to downgrade firmware, installed ML for 1.2.3, upgraded firmware to 1.3.4 and new ML works.)

But Canon just released firmware 1.3.5

Is there any way to set camera bootflag without firmware downgrade?

If not, I'll need to wait when ML-SETUP.FIR will appear in builds.

Of course if any of you 2,000 downloaders could give feedback

2000 downloaders just unable to install ML without ML-SETUP.FIR
At least me unable... I searched inet how to make card bootable, and set bootflag using gparted, but looks like this not enough.

BTW, firmware 1.1.0 released for 550d.

Anyone got dotTune working on their 70D?

Couldn't get this working on mine

Following the instructions,
I focus manually in LV
Start DotTune AMFA Scan.
It gives a couple of messages about perfect focus and keeping the camera still.
Then it shows the dotTune 'range' across the top of the menu screen.
But then the screen goes blank.
I leave it for 10+ minutes, and it is still blank and the camera controls are inoperative.
So I have to switch off.

Yes, sometimes I got same "couple of messages about perfect focus" and nothing more. I switch camera off, then on, and dot_tune works normally.
Looks like it hangs rarely after lens change. I just switch camera off before change lens, then switch on and dot_tune works normally.
Not tried with 2016Mar08 version, but with previous. I have "B" firmware.

Is there AF microadjustment function?

Нету в ML микроаджустмента, такчто даже не надейтесь.

Or maybe I can adjust AF without ML?

У 40д нет такой фичи, так что только нести объектив в сервис.
