Modules Development / Re: Focus Infinity Module
« on: September 06, 2013, 09:43:15 PM »
Yes I used it quite successfully, just needed to set it up during day light and it worked perfectly.

The lens I used was just the kit 18-55, camera was 550D (T2i).

Sadly I cant post any results because while I was doing a recent clean up of my system I deleted them by mistake  :-[

But I can confirm it worked fine for me  8)

Next time I get a chance to get to a dark sky location, without any crappy artificial lights, I will post some results,,, unfortunately Autumn is coming and here in the UK clear skies are a rare thing at this time of year  :(

Hi mk11174,
is there any chance of getting this updated to work with the new 3.0 API ?

I found it very useful for doing astro shots.

I have only one word for this...
Absolutely stunning,,, OK actually that's 2 words, even so that is a very nice timelapse.
I have become slightly addicted to making timelapse sequences but I'm using ML's silent picture feature, I don't want to wear the shutter out on my 550D.

I also wish that I had access to a location that has a truly dark night sky, there's far too much light pollution where I live.
Damn those street lights  >:(

Hahahaa, no probs.
Thanks, just need a decent cell to come through now, had one a few weeks ago but I was away from home and of course I didn't have my camera (550D) with me.

Ooh, jolly good.
Would it be possible for you to upload this latest version with the timelapse feature somewhere?

Well if I had the choice, I would rather be waiting for lightning in Florida, it's gotta be better than the usual UK weather,,, grey, grey, a bit more grey,,, oh and maybe a touch more grey just in case its not GREY enough.

Hmmm, having just had that the grumble, the sun came out 8)

Hahaaa! Yes that turned into a post of almost epic proportions, but well worth the read, a nice introduction and break down of the process and what settings to use,,, nicely written Sir  ;)

I will be installing your latest version and go sit by the window watching and waiting in anticipation for the thunderheads to develop.

Can't wait to start playing with it.

Thank you Matt*, your a gentleman 8)

*saw the name in a different post :)

They are fantastic shots mk11174,,, quite electrifying ( pun obviously intended ).

Just want to give massive amounts of thanks to all the people who are helping develop ML into a truly superb addition to my camera (550D) and all for free * thumbs up*.

Now I shall have to wait for a decent thunderstorm,( rare where I live in the UK, and even rarer to get a decent CG, nearly all CC or IC ) to test this new bit of wizardry out.
Thanks again, you guys rock.

Main Builds / Re: Nightly Builds - try the very latest stuff here
« on: May 15, 2013, 06:17:41 PM »
Greetings fellow ML'ers.

I've been using ML(v2.3) on my 550D since it was released and have finally summoned the courage to try the nightly builds ( I have the 2013MAY14 version installed),,, have to say I really like the new UI.
I'm still exploring this version and I have a question,,, I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere, I tried searching for the answer but didn't find anything relevant.

OK rambling over, here's the question.

Do we still have the ability to hide specific menu items in the nightly builds, like we could in the v2.3 stable release?

If yes,,, how?
If no,,, no problem  ;)

Edit :
OK scrap that question, I found the menu option to allow customization of the menu  :-[
I'll get my coat.
