Okay

If i import direct into SG i also get a greenisy image
- If i use your look-file it looks OK

If i import into premiere i get pinkish image - if i send it to SG via dynamiclink, its still pink.

Then i made a new look/lut with inspiration from yours (quick adjusted by hand - need some more scientific fine tuning) for use in premiere in its Lumetri effect
- no roundtrip to SG, can play in full res, realtime inside premier.. SO COOL !!!

Here is my look/lut

Sadly, as it stands now I see no point in editing cdng natively in Premiere Pro.

Damm We was so close :-)

But adobe said:
We understand your frustration and are continuing to work hard on this. Getting correctly debaryed GPU accelerated CinemaDNG was quite a success for us. Adding the options is now possible.

So we must wait a little more..

Not sure What I did here but here is a CDNG from my 6d that has no pink cast. No FX or CC applied.
But then I quit and reopened and it's back. WTF?
HAHA thats strange..

Sorry, but that s wrong.
At the moment, importing dngs in AE, making proxys and open this AE Sequence (not like in the video safe as premiere) in premiere, you have the best workflow.
no exporting, no xml, no metadata and no comlicated workflows with davinci.
unless Premiere is able to open dng s via acr, this is the best non destructiv workflow.
At the moment, Premiere only applys some Camera metadata to the dngs when opening them, no way to work with that.

This workflow was possible all the time - but its almost impossible to work that way. (even on my workstation 24core xeon, 24Gb ram, quadro 5000)
Its okay for small sequences/projects.

So it seems it isn't just a MAC vs. PC or RAWMaigc vs. raw2cdng thing....  Could it have anything to do with the extra color information in the format?  Since BMC is only 10bit CDNG?

also some info over here:

It's not a WB issue, but a black level one. The Adobe editor reads the black level most likely as 0, instead of 1024 or 2048 or whatever the right value is.
My hypothesis: the metadata in the CDNG files is corrupted (e.g. having a wrong type for a tag can cause read errors on all subsequent tags in an IFD), and some parsers happen to get over it and others not, depending on how they choose to handle this error. If this is true, the problem is in the DNG converter, not on Adobe's side.

Maybe "chmee" can tell more soon, but lets wait and see..

In raw2cdng 1.3 there is the chance to import the whitebalance-data from a taken cr2-photo. did you tried that? did it changed the colors? description is in blog entry. http://www.phreekz.de/wordpress/2013/06/magiclantern-raw2cdng-cinema-dng/

regards chmee

Yep, tried that - did not remove the pinky stuff :-)

But if i change the bit depth to 10bit CDNG via your tool it looks better (easier to fix)  8)

Does it import dual ISO files? (DNGs saved by cr2hdr - they are 16 bit)

nope, same error as when processing with raw2dng.. (would not take them at all - says "The file appears to have no media data")
So maybe its more a header (DNG vs CDNG) problem - than a 14bit vs 16bit thing (or could be a mix of both?)..

DNG (with newest raw2dng) will not import because it says there is no metadata, stops dead on error without importing.
Think thats because its 14bit.

CDNG (with newest raw2cdng) imports but has a terrible pink cast which cannot be removed.

i got the chance to play with some cdng sequences in the new adobe CC (converted via this tool) - works okay - but the picture turns out very pinkish (maybe some metadata are missing ?? or maybe premiere dosent read the black/white levels correct).

But can be played in realtime in fullres. :-D
- a shame that ARC is not available as in AE.

Double-checked the black and white levels, still can't find any pink cast. White balance on the shoulder.

thats right, when you manually set the correct white ballance there is no pink cast.
- Its a metadata ting in the DNG file. The picture data in the DNG file is fine.

Adobe Lightroom see this:
1, 0 Sec exposure (wrong, think it was 1/60)
f/1,0 (Wrong, was 1,4)
Temp 6050  (wrong)
Tint = +78  (wrong, this is where the pink color is comming from)
Iso and focal lenght are missing.

Trees details is bad :( It is not improvement over stock H.264 video.

Remenber this is encoded 2 times.. First to h264 from premiere, then Vimeo will compress it again.

720 DNG´s looks better than stock h264 at 1080p IMHO

Little DNG video from 5D3... but there was no sun today, so can not really showoff the latitude.
- just some random shots
