Title: 30 minute limit on 6d
Post by: painya on January 06, 2014, 12:36:24 AM
Has the thirty minute limit been beaten on the 6d? I just recorded for more than 30 minutes continuously and when I took it into PP there was no lapse. :o

No because the devs don't want to risk the legalities of removing it.

Movie restart should work, does it? It records like 30+ a tiny bit... its 1799 frames max I think. Patching it was too much of a PITA to test, etc.

I only recorded for 31 minutes and some change. I'm on your most recent build and I will try for longer right now. Will post results soon. Even when my card is formatted exfat the footage is broken up into 4gb chunks. Do you have a similar experience?

Yes it works. Super quickly as well. Right at 30 it will  pause for maybe a second tops.
