Title: 5dmkIII raw - overlooking Los Angeles at sunset - heavy grade
Post by: rungunshoot on November 12, 2013, 05:06:38 PM

I've been slowly getting used to the raw workflow.  This is my first video where I'm happy with the color grading.  I skipped the LUT entirely and outputted flat ProRes 4:4:4 from Resolve, then graded that in FCP X using the native color correction tools.

I had been using the Alexa LUT beforehand, but it gave me some weird color curves with nighttime footage.

Very nice! Were you using a steadicam? If so which?

No Steadicam...just walking steady and stabilizing in FCP X.
