Title: 5D MKIII - 50/60fps 1080p using FPS Override? (h.264)
Post by: BardurM on November 05, 2013, 10:30:16 PM
Hi Fellas

Is it possible somehow to push my FPS up to 50fps whilst filming (not in RAW) in 1080p on my Canon 5D Mark III?
I know it's possible if you have a fast enough card (which i have) in RAW but i'm just wondering if it can be done in ML when filming as usual?
Did try it - but i could only go as high as 27.xx fps using fps override

Sorry if it's a silly question or it has been answered/documented elsewhere - i couldn't find anything on it.

Regards
Bardur M

It's as simple as: noup, you can't! No way to do this...

Put it on 29.97 in the canon menu, overcrank, and you get 31.xx fps (ish) so at ~ 78% playback you get 24fps. That's the best we got.
