Title: High ISO + Dark scene frame skipping issues
Post by: alantor on November 04, 2013, 07:51:13 PM
Hey there,

I have had my 64gb Transcend 1000x cards for about a month now but hadn't had the opportunity to shoot anything RAW until last night. I kept running into problems with the recording stopping/skipping frames. My takes were each 2:30-3:00 minutes long.

When I got the cards I tested them and was able to get 8 minute long takes on all of them. However, those tests were shot in a decently lit room. Last night the video I was shooting was a huge black space with only the talent lit shot at iso 1250 1920x1080.

I know that shooting at high ISOs and dark scenes leads to higher data rates. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I try to return my CF cards and get different ones that are known for high write speeds?
