Title: Info about high speed Canon 5D3
Post by: gioriga on October 17, 2013, 06:29:02 PM
Hello everyone this is my first topic.
This is Giorgio, recently I' ve installed the ML raw version for my Canon 5D mark3.
It's great compliments.
But i should have another request.... I'd like to shoot in high speed like 60fps to 1080p or 120fps to 720p, or more (not in raw obviously). Do you know some trick to shoot in high speed than standard settings?
Many thanks

Yes thanks I know the 720p at 60 in raw, i've tried it.
I don't understand how the gopro 3 takes a video 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120....
Could you explain this!
Thanks again

my friend, are you trying to get yourself banned from this forum, b/c you're on the right track

"Can you explain to me why my 1980 honda civic takes 10s to go 0 - 60 mph, when the Maclaren MP4-12C (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_MP4-12C) can do it in only 2.9s?"

Like it or not, the only affordable solution to shooting close to those settings today is the GoPro Hero 3 Black.

It is astounding that the ML crew has been able to unlock as much as they have from the Canon CMOS sensor and its firmware, but even without an electronics or programming degree, the present specifications of the Canon sensors (and just a mere explanation of their operation) makes their limitations quite understandable.

The fact that these gentlemen have squeezed dual-ISO out of these sensors is fascinating in its own right.

There is a 120P 5DIII beta firmware... nobody has leaked it, hint hint. Canon took it out in release versions... 120FPS remnants are in EOSM for AF

Nope, this may put the project in danger. Sorry.

Have you try to change the muffler?
Maybe you don't understand my question

http://wiki.magiclantern.fm/faq?&#my_sony_camera_can_record_1080p_60fps_why_my_650d_can_t

"why can my go pro hero 3 record 1080p @ 60fps or 720p @ 120fps and my 5D3 can't"

because a 5D3 is not a go pro hero 3

"why my 1980 honda civic takes 10s to go 0 - 60 mph, when the Maclaren MP4-12C can do it in only 2.9s?"

because a honda civic is not a MP4-12C
