Title: T2i with ML 2.3 - Shutting off?
Post by: 4n6days on September 23, 2013, 05:53:57 PM
Just installed ML 2.3. When in video mode (non-recording) it has been shutting off. The mirror clicks down and the screen goes blank. Pushing any button seems to 'wake' it up. The interval seems random. Is this a bug or a setting issue?

Yeah... I found this, "• In LiveView, ML will turn the display and the sensor off during idle times if you enable
this option from Powersave menu."

But a few times, it turned off within seconds of turning it on. Is there a button that is putting it to sleep that maybe I'm bumping?

OK. I figured it out. I had completely overlooked the Canon menu settings. The Auto Power Off was set to 30 Seconds. Some ML functions would trigger it to stay on, but sometimes, even while navigating menus/settings it would shut off.
