Howdy all!
I have two 60D's, and I mainly shoot events. As such, it would be really handy not to have a break in my footage every 12-15 minutes (even as is, ML is a life saver. Love auto restart!). I have a 64gb SDXC card, so technically it doesn't have the same 4gb file size limits of SD and SDHC, but I'm unable to record files greater than ~3.98GB.
I can't get Magic Lantern to load from my card when formated for exFat I've tried formatting my card for SDXC in Disc Utility (Mac), and then preparing it with Macboot, but it give me the "please check card and remove battery and try again" error when I run a firmware update.
Without Magic Lantern I can shoot onto the card while exFat formatted, but I still have the 4 GB size limit.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to somehow clear the bootflag? (Random guess).
Thanks!
Paul
As far as I'm aware, the only way around the 4GB limit is ML's auto-restart feature. exFat or otherwise, doesn't matter. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
You could try changing the autoexec.bin for this one. It's for the 600d but you never know. And remember if it breaks you get to keep both parts. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1232870https%3A%2F%2Fbitbucket.org%2FOtherOnePercen...at.600D.Latest
The maximum record limit is set to 30 minutes max for TAX reasons.
Hmm, Editing that looks pretty intimidating. I haven't done any of that sort of work, is there a guide on this subject?
30 minutes would make life a lot easier. I could live with that!
