Title: Help with Autobracket HDR Post
Post by: alexvjones07 on July 15, 2013, 08:49:00 PM
Hey guys,

I'm brand new to HDR timelapses and had a question about the autobracket feature.  I used it for my most recent timelapse and also set the ML intervalometer to 10 seconds.  Got home and organized the pictures and it seems like ML just needed to capture 2 images to get the dynamic range at first.  However, later as the sun was going down,  ML started taking more pics that were overexposed, underexposed, etc.

How do I go about processing these images (I'm using a Mac with Photomatix Pro)?  At first it seems easy, just take the two images and HDR them but I can't apply that process to the entire picture set because toward the end it wasn't just two pictures in a cycle, it became a random number based on ML's auto detect.  How do I HDR these photos toward the end/how can I tell where the beginning or end of the cycle is for those groups of pics at the end?

Thanks in advance.

It should be quite obvious that you should not use auto bracketing for timelapse. Use full manual settings.
