Hello,
I am a newB and have search intensely for days(on ML Forums) trying to find a solution to my problem. Raw2DNG works great on my PC with files <2GB however, Now that I have upgraded my CF card and can film 1920 X 1080, my Raw files are 5+GB and Raw2Dng will not process them. I know there is an update for OS users but what about us PCS?
In this guide you will find a link to the latest Raw2dng.exe

I guess you will have to keep reading some more :'(
Thank you for your response. Same issues, I can import smaller files (<2GB), but not bigger files (>5GB)

Try this bro ;)
You mean, the one from hudson doesn't work?!
Thanks again everyone for your help. When I import the 4+GB file, Raw2DNG flashes then leaves the screen, ie not working.

Instructions: In Windows just drag and drop the RAW video files to this exe and it will extract the dng frames in the directory where the RAw2dng.exe file is located. Also read this, it may help us solve your problem:
How to report bugs

First read http://freecode.com/articles/how-to-report-bugs-effectively. Try to recreate the bug and then report your bug with as much information about the circumstances and behavior as possible. Always include what ML version you are using (found under the Debug menu) and also what model camera.
Ive read everything that was recommended. I have even tried to make the RAW2DNG operable on another windows computer. I will tap into some of my newly aquired knowledge and refrain from saying, "it doesn't work." but what I will say is what happens. If you double-click on the RAW2DNG, it will flash and disapprear from the schreen. This is what continues to happen when I attempt to put in a RAW file bigger than 3GB.

Does it say to double click anywhere in our manual?? nooo..
It says Drag and Drop!
Meaning point at the RAW file with your mouse.
Click the mouse and hold.
Drag the file over to the where the Raw2dng.exe converter is.
Release the mouse button.
Double clicking on the RAW2DNG was just a concrete example of what it does when I actually drag and drop.
Try a different RAW file. Also supply information such as:
Camera model
Compile you are testing
model of card you are using
Resolution you are testing
Mode you are testing
How many Raw files have you made
Where did you get the latest Raw2dng.exe
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) I GOT IT!!!!! I used the updated ML (JUNE 2) instead of the MAY 30 and it fixed IT. THANKS and sorry about that.
PS: one last question, does ML interfere with updated/adding picture styles? I have a 5D3?
I could be wrong.. but raw2dng is not a GUI app, it's a command line ap. When you drag anything to it, or try to run it, what you see is a command window open then close. So it's working as intended (unless there IS a GUI component to it..the few videos I've seen show someone running a command prompt then running raw2dng.exe in that window directly).
Try opening a command prompt, CD to the dir where raw2dng is, then run it with the path to the .raw file.
Found this thread doing a search for my problem, though I have a recent ML version so that fix didn't work for me.
"Raw2DNG flashes then leaves the screen, ie not working."
I'm having the same issue, though with me the file sizes are small (200-300mb). Downloaded the raw2dng.exe program, moved it to the same location as my .MLV files (on the card), have been dragging and dropping files onto the program but all I get is a flash open and then close with no resulting DNG files. Can't figure out what the problem might be... ideas? Links to alternative conversion methods?

If you are working with Windows you may open Explorer, browse to your directory, press SHIFT and open context menu. You will see an option "Open command prompt here ...". You don't need to give the path then.
Just type
raw2dng yourfilename.cr2
and press ENTER and look for messages on the screen.
Ciao
Walter
I'm doing that to a .cr2 file? Shouldn't I be doing something to a .MLV file?
When I did raw2dng M20-1531.MLV (one of the raw clips) I got an error that says "This ain't a lv_rec RAW file"
??
AFAIK raw2dng will not process MLV but RAW.
http://thejohnha.blogspot.de/2013/12/converting-magic-lantern-mlv-files-to.html
Correct. On windows, mlv_dump (http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7122.0) can convert MLV to legacy raw format.
Thanks for the reply guys, what would be the right solution for non-Mac users? I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and am trying to get Magic Lantern .MLV files to end up as something I can work with like ProRes, or at least a DNG sequence.
mlv_dump is also not working for me... if it's the same drag-and-drop idea as raw2dng, then I just get a flash of the screen and no new files in the directory.
It's really difficult to find information about how this should be done. The tutorial video for mlv_dump is on a linux system... the post-processing thread on ML forums is about RAW files not MLV files. I'm confused... did the MLV format just get created? Should I try an older build of ML so I can get .RAW files and be able to process with raw2dng?
It's pretty frustrating having a card full of MLV files and no way to work with them, other than watching the clips in MLV viewer.
this?
