Title: No manual upgrade of 1DC firmware. Potential?
Post by: sonnyw on May 31, 2013, 06:50:04 PM
Canon are not allowing us to manually upgrade our 1DC's. Are they concerned about the firmware being hacked? I know ML has stated they would never touch any 1D's. But is it possible the new ML will run on my 1DC? What's the worse thing that could happen if I just tried it?

They don't want the firmware out there I guess.... either way raw > 1dc. Good effort though... that update should have had built in raw support. BMCC... lunch... eaten.

Still no 1DC downloable fimware.
Perhaps, could be this firmware installed directly on the 1Dx to get 4k? or worst ...on the 5DM3?....mmmm...

Rumors say if you install it in a parliament it will bring peace on earth.
