Title: Sd to CF adapter?
Post by: rawfa on May 18, 2013, 07:12:25 PM
Hi guys,

I have a bunch of SD cards that I use on my NEX7 and I fell a little reluctang in buying a bunch of CF cards for the MarkII. Does anyone here have ACTUAL PRACTICAL experience using SD cards on the MarkII (or MarkIII for that matter) with an SD to CF adapter?

I'm betting speed will be slower... why would you want SD cards? I wish there was CF to SD...

Like I said, I already have a bunch of SD cards that I use with my NEX7. And at the time being I donĀ“t really care about shooting RAW video. Just to make thins clear, I use my NEX7 for photography and my MarkII is exclusivity for video.

I've tried that actually on 5D mark II with out magic lantern, put 32GB Sandisk Extreme card to SD-CF converter, and get almos 10MB/s. works for stills but definitely not for high-bit-rate-video.
