Title: [ALREADY DONE] Timelaps reduce LV brightness
Post by: wolf on May 18, 2013, 02:25:21 PM
How about an option in the interval shooting to reduce the LV brightness to a minimum to save energy?

Can't you already use ML power saving features to do so?

Never saw the dim settings  ::), I knew it was possible to turn LV off.
Well, that's exactly what I need, great.

I'm just playing with the new DNG on 550D.

When I set power saving:
dim: 5sec
off: 5sec

the display won't dim of course.
I have to set, in order to save as much energy as possible, the brightness to a low level before starting the timelaps.
Is it technically possible to reduce the "on" time considering the stability?
And would the amount of energy that could reduced worth any effort?

With intervalometer, the delay is reduced to 1 second.
