Not sure where the best place to ask this is. So I got a new phone (htc ONE) and was wondering if it would be possible for ml controller to work on the device I saw where dslr controller by chainfire works with the HTC ONE X so my thinking was that it would work with my phone it did not. I was also thinking for some reason that if dslr controller worked ml controller would work too. Any ideas? I have an OTG cable and can plug my camera up to my phone but then it says this device is not supported. I might have to root my phone when I can. does any one think that will help? I have jelly bean. Any help would be appreciated.
Forgot to mention the phone was just released today.
Sounds like OTG module issue in your OS. Does USB work for anything else like flash drives... maybe support in the modules is limited.
Sorry about not replying didn't see the response. From what I have read the usb is limited the next update will supposedly will fix my problems when it comes out. Flash drives and game pads do work but every things else seem to not. With a little research I found dslr controller will work on my htc one with a custom kernel so I'm guessing that would solve this? I'll probably just wait for the update.
I wouldn't wait on an update from your carrier. Could take months, or even a year (I have a love for Android, but a hate for the fragmentation).
If you are running Magic Lantern on your camera, you are definitely tech savvy enough to root your phone and flash a .zip file for a new kernel.
I would root and was close to. but don't want to have to deal with having to backup my phone. 4.2.2 should be coming out this month and should fix this.
I kinda have gotten it to work. More info will come soon. (sleep is important)

You're sleeping quite long!
Further question: Is RAW video working in combination with the Controller-App?
