Title: Aperture Bracketing with 50mm 1.8

Could someone help me how to do Aperture Bracketing on ML? Is it renamed as Focus stack? Also When I select Focus stack, it says that my Canon 50mm 1.8 does not report focus distance, so maybe it is not working :-/ ?

I too am new to ML; but, as I understand, Aperture Bracketing is available only in `ML nightly'.  Probably, the following links may help you;

I really would like to know if this feature is supposed to be incorporated in more stable build in the future. This is one feature I would really use.

Yes.  I have seen samples and it would be wonderful if the feature could be made stable.

The question is probably not for me but what i meant by stable is enough stable to be incorporated in an official version of the firmware. What is the reason it's not in the 2.3 version ?

If it works without problems, it will be included. That's why you should try it in the nightly builds and share your experience with it.

Nanomad states to not use nightly builds and stick to stable release.

So, the nightly builds is like the 2.3 version with added features without documentation ? What are the risks of using nightly builds ? Just more bugs ?

I think it is a bit too much risky for my new 5D. I will live without aperture bracketing until it goes to official build or maybe when I'm more familiar with ML in general.

I admit I was a bit hasty. My point was:stick to stable builds until you feel comfortable with ML and the idea of running bleeding edge code on your camera

Ok, so need to try nightly build :D Thank you :) This was the main point of interest for me in ML :D
