Title: Unable to copy to SD card

I'm using Mac OS Mountain Lion.  With it no files can be copied to the root folder of any SD card. How can i solve this issue?

Are you using a card reader or have you connected the camera to your Mac?

The SD card is in MacBooks reader to copy the files onto it.
From "www.zenoshrdlu.com/macboot/macboot.html" i learned that copying files to the root is not anymore possible using Mt Lion.

The write protect switch in my card reader on my MBP gets stuck a lot and is pretty much useless.
