Title: time lapse to normal video switching
Post by: quantumrider on December 01, 2012, 08:13:23 AM
Hi,

New project I'm developing could benefit from ability to record time lapse using the intervalometer and then switching to video recording with just a half press of shutter button and back again to intervalometer with another half shutter release, is it possible to set it up?

And if not is there something equivalent to this where there is no need to move the camera around too much, actually I use wired remote shutter release button so anything with that would be awesome.

Yes, you only have to tweak the source code.

But keep in mind that switching modes from ML may result in a semi-bricked camera (unless I got it wrong), that's why we disabled movie mode remap

You can just take pics in movie mode.

Ah, ok, my poor 1100D doesn't have that feature :(

can't just take pics in movie mode, the film is time lapse then video then time lapse again then video again... I guess I will just have to stop intervalometer, start recording and then back again, just wanted to do it with a camera's back to the wall in a tight spot when I switch to video and then back to intervalometer
