Title: EOS 7D - Bracketing on AF-Micro-Adjustment
Post by: canomax on November 26, 2012, 01:06:44 PM
Dear team,

due to the fact, that af-micro-adjust let you optimize your lens, sometimes you have to decide, if you want have it sharp near by or far away with a micro-adjustemt. It is mostly only two or three steps difference.

So a af-micro-adjust-bracketing with a setting max. difference and steps wouls help here.

Thanks for your attention
regards
Gerd

AF micro-adjustment should only be used to fine tune the AF if you're noticing that your photos are a little off in focus. It's not something that you should keep changing (i.e. it's something that you do once and leave it at that).

However what you're describing is focus stacking (i.e. bracketing photos with varying focus points), and it's already available in ML: http://wiki.magiclantern.fm/userguide#stack_focus

Hi,

at moment, I see only trap-focus in the ML-menu (2.3) for the 7D ...

Hopefully, the other options will come soon ...

ML for 7D is still in alpha stage, so many features are still missing (as are on the 5D3).
