Title: Digital ND-filter (lower ISO)
Post by: poromaa on September 13, 2012, 02:43:16 PM
Is it possible to create even lower ISO for film (like a virtual ND-filter) than current ML? This would be useful for filming with 1/24 shutter and 1.4 apperature in daylight without overexposure.

How low do you want to go? ML can go as low as ISO 25 in video mode but it produces pink highlights as they become "whiter than white"

Had the same problems, but found out that the latest version of GoPro studio includes a more restrictive version of the CineForm codec - so you'll have to use the GoProCineFormStudioPC-1.0.1.60.exe version. It will only take mp4 files, however VLC can be used for changing the container from mov to mp4.

VLC can be used for changing the container ex. mov > mp4. Select Media->Convert/Save, select files, Convert->Save, click "Create New Profile" icon, change container, mark keep original video and audio tracks.

is there a way to fix this pink highlight in post?

I need to get some blur during day time and ND filter doesn't work well with ultra wide lens.
