Title: New computer to work with video - what to choose?
Post by: phenix29 on September 26, 2022, 04:18:03 PM
I am planning to buy a new computer and I would like to ask which processors and graphics cards work best when exporting raw video files to the format for video editors.
My old computer exports 60GB of RAW FHD video for 10 hours.
My initial configuration is
Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Cooling SilentiumPC Fera 5 120mm
GeForce RTX 3060 GPU
2 x 16 GB DDR4 RAM
1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD
SilentiumPC Vero L3 700W 80 Plus Bronze power supply

Good question. I have to keep my computer on 3 hours only rendering 10 minutes. I would still prefer Windows 10?

Right now I render a 60GB project, using denoiser, rescaler, amazing AMaZE debayer and other features. In sum it will need 2h for this. Computer: a simple M1 MacBookAir without cooling, and a max of 30W power consumption.

Nice! Is it 16Gb RAM?
I'm considering the NEW Ryzen 7590X for audio and video. But MB AIR is still on my wish list.

If you are not in hurry, wait for 13th gen of Intel processors.
