timbytheriver's dolby vision/rec709 trick with resolve made dealing with the clipped flames in the last shot of this video not only better looking, but far easier to deal with.
in the original grade, i had to resort to trickery such as adding another node to isolate the clipped highlights to desaturate them and add back a false colour. not only was it no longer required but the natural colour actually looks good even though it is clipped...
