Title: issue : liveview and raw video (1280p) croped on a 7d
Post by: viccho on November 22, 2021, 03:52:52 PM
Hi everyone
I'm trying to make a film with my 7d. i need quite long footage so i set up my resolution to 960p or 1280p. But the issue is that the image displayed is not as large as my lense isualy do. the display and the video are cropped. Is there a way to have the wide open lense view while filming in 960 or 1280 ?
Thank you :)
have a nice day

Short answer: No.

There has been some work done for other Digic 4 cameras: 50D, 5D2. But it is still way behind options available for Digic 5. And because of 7D's dual processor design it is likely that porting anything to 7D will not take place anytime soon. Or maybe ever.
Get some ultra wide lens and try to work around those limits. Or send your cam into retirement.
