Ive just started using ML because i had a external monitor lying around and ML can do more with external monitor then my 70D originally can.
everything works but the image is stretched. Something round becomes oval. The height of the view is narrower then it should be. The screen is filled but something like liveview has bars around and is stretched
70D's sensor has 3:2 AR, you shoud expect black bars in left and right of the image in 1080i output (in Full Preview, use Info button to toggle between Full and Small preview)
If your HDMI output is 480p it would be in 4:3 AR, your monitor should support 4:3 to get correct AR otherwise it would be stretched (look at your monitor settings), also in 480p output you should expect black bars in left and right of the image also in the bottom.
