I'm pleased to release my latest script, a split lens version of my DOFI script.

Rather than waste space here, you can read about the script, and access it, my going to: http://photography.grayheron.net/2020/08/pragmatism-not-perfection.html

Just a quick posting to say I've updated DOFIS.

The main change, apart from some code refactoring, is that DOFIS now has an auto lens detect mode.

All you need to do is register your lens info in the script (minimum focus distance, maximum magnification and focal length at maximum mag).

DOFIS comes with a Sigma 12-24mm and a Canon 24-105mm 4L registered.

In addition, under Additional Info menu item, you can get the lens name, so you know what to register.

I recommend setting DOFIS to Auto, as, if it doesn't find a registered lens, so it can use a split lens model, it seamlessly defaults to a simple thin lens model.

My original blog post, http://photography.grayheron.net/2020/08/pragmatism-not-perfection.html, still represents an essential first read. Plus this post on the tweak: http://photography.grayheron.net/2020/08/dofis-tweaked.html
