I want to ask if i transcode my mlv raw video file to any file type like proress code, will it be a normal raw video file like I can adjust the white balance like normal raw file .Or will it be a video file
Video file. You can still adjust the Whitbalance, saturation etc...just not as flexible as in its RAW form.
You can export DNG in MLV App, which will be the most flexible for post work in e.g DaVinci resolve. But transcoding is the opposite of raw.
+1 to what zeek said.
If you have after effects then you can use DNG files too with adobe camera raw. Just google "Smart Import 2". It is nowhere near as fast as resolve though.
thanks gus ,i get it
Hi!
A silly question about the workflow with dng files. I would like use MLV App to export DNG files with lossless compression to save storage space. Does Davinci resolve work well with this type of DNG or should I use uncompressed dng files?
Sorry for my bad English.
In mlvapp, choose davici naming scheme. Then in davinci drag the whole directory. Audio export works fine.
