Title: [Solved - ML settings] shutter delay
Post by: Bob Hayes on June 01, 2020, 07:48:17 PM
My canon 600D has recently had Magic Lantern added. It worked well the first time I used it on Intervalometer mode. Since then when I am using other modes there is a delay in shooting of about a second after fully pushing the button. also sport mode doesn't work nor continuous shooting on other modes. Is this a recognised phenomenon and how is it corrected. Any solution or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does it happen using manual focus on only with AF?
Does it happen without ML? Press SET at startup to bypass ML loading.

Report back results.

With another card it works normally. With ML card  the delay is present regardless of settings or mode.

Turn camera off.
Remove battery.
Insert battery.
Press SET button (and keep it pressed until startup completes).
Startup cam.
Release SET

Test again.

Did as told. Removed battery (and card). Replaced battery (and card).Held down "SET" and started camera. Released "SET". Camera now working normally again. Thank you v v much Walter Schultz.
Will I need to do this every time I start camera or is it a permanent fix?

This is not a fix. This procedure just bypasses ML.
I suggest resetting ML to factory defaults: Prefs tab -> Config options -> Restore ML defaults
