Hi everyone.
I am a fan of Timelapses and for now i have used qDslrDashboard with my 5D3.
I had "too much" stuff to take with me. I now have 2 kids and less space in my bags when i travel.
I recently baught a EOS M and i try ML on it with intervalometer and ETTR. It works preaty well !!!
I juste wanted to know if it is posible to "force" ETTR in one way only.
I do day to night timelapses. Everything is going well but if, for exemple, a car passes by, ETTR will adjust the shutter speed and will make it shorter for the next picture.
I would like to avoid that.
So if the sun goes down i would like it to adjust the shutter speed by going slower ONLY. i dont what it to be able to go back.
Is it possible ??
Thanks
Maybe Duel iso would be good cheek often uses the EOS m for RAW VIDEOS. The chef got no four even no room for the smaller camera compared to the 5D III I would just shoot with my mobile with Lightroom you also can you get RAW pictures.

I have never seen a mobile with which you can make reasonable time-lapses directly in the sun. There are usually a lot of flares and the core of the sun is very washed out.

There is a very good time-lapse script for the EOS M with CHDK, in which you can set the maximum size of the changes in EV (Max Ev change).
https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Lua/Scripts:_Raw_Meter_Intervalometer
I wouldn't be surprised if ML couldn't do that too.
.
Joerg, have you been able to run that script on EOS M?

No the Script runs only on M3, M10 and M100.(I wrote the M with CHDK).
The link was only intended as an example to show what to look for..
Thanks for pointing that out. I'm pretty sure most newbies here won't be able to tell the difference ...

edit: the above link will lead to a module and script helpful for timelapses, but doesn't really address your initial issue.
In either case, the car driving past will I guess effectively ruin that exposure. If you want to rely on Auto_ETTR, I would think that "midtone/shadow SNR limit" may work well here: https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5693.0
