I saw some discussion on here of the colorspace transform plugin on resolve, so I took it for a spin, trying it out on a really problematic shot from this video of the oscilloscope, close up, with a crazy bright red LED pointing right at the camera.
Incredibly, it handled it and I was able to keep the red colour without it blowing out to white!

I was so excited that I regraded the video for the last time using this plugin and I am so happy with the result.
This is a really excellent grading workflow for resolve. It is doing what I thought to be impossible...
