this is a new version of a music video i did last year, revisited to do improved animations with the newly released blender 2.8
they've really improved raytracing speed with the cycles renderer, quite nicely. i managed to get exactly the look i wanted for the animations to blend (pun intended) with the gritty underexposed raw video of the 5d3. the rendering took less time than the original run, even though i did it at 4k.
pretty sweet considering i'm using a 750ti.
that said, it still took over a week (24/7) but i am very pleased with the results.
i did a very slight adjustment to the grading of the video while i was at it, using hyalinejim's excellent ektar lut...
