Title: 60D will no longer turn on
Post by: dlredbaron on July 09, 2019, 08:31:26 AM
Hi, after a bit of ML fps override my 60D will no longer turn on.  Sometimes the LED flashes. Usually not.  The screen is always black. I tried the portable display test, but nothing happened.  I tried the LED test and my camera indeed flashed.  I am unclear what my next step is supposed to be.

I guess I need an explanation for the ore technically illiterate. If anyone can please help...

Thanks.

If the LED blinking test is working, that's a good sign.

If the portable display test did not work, either the card was not bootable, or the camera was stuck from previous startup attempt. The power switch is actually just a soft button, so don't rely on it - take the battery out and put it back on.

If you still have a card where the LED blink test still works, that one is bootable, so just replace autoexec.bin. Otherwise, use EosCard or MacBoot or make_bootable.sh.
