Title: Canon 5d II Raw detect error
Post by: Anders Vikhult on May 28, 2019, 05:24:56 PM
Hi

I have just downloaded and installed ML to my Canon 5D II. I did all the settings after watching a video at YouTube and it seem that it has worked fine. The problem is that my camera won't record at all now. A little sign comes up that says "Raw detect error" in the Live View-window. Does anyone know how I can solve that?

Me again

When I try to change the setting in ML in Movie – Raw video this text is coming up: "640 (any number) is not possible in current video mode (max 0)". Can I change the video mode so it can take more that zero?

Are you using a fast enough CF card? It sounds like your CF card is too slow if you can't record 640. You should do a card benchmark (load the benchmark module https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=19457.msg184186#msg184186 ) and let everyone know what card speed you are getting. You may need another CF card.

It's always a good idea to do a benchmark test for your cards but this error has nothing to do with card performance.
OP asked first question before and was asked to give some details about his environment. I do not encourage double posting.
