Title: 70D Battery Drain and MLV Dropped Frames?
Post by: ECS on April 16, 2019, 06:08:58 PM
Just installed ML on my 70D last night hoping to shoot better video. I got installed and tried out the MLV_rec module and after like 2 seconds it said "dropped frame" and stopped recording. I then tried to watch it on MLV_dump and it gave me an error message. Is 14 bit too gnarly for the 70D? It also maxes out the resolution at like 1856x1026 or something and I can't figure out how to change FPS.

The other problem is that my battery drains insanely quick, like I could watch it drain. It was probably a percent every 20-30 seconds. I'm charging up some fresh batteries to try out later today and see if problem persists. Any ideas with that?

Thanks,
-ECS

edit: Just uninstalled magic lantern to see if the battery drain changed and some how the battery now says it is at 97%? It went from like 65% with ML to 88% after I uninstalled ML and after a couple minutes its at 97%. Very confused.
