Title: Intervalometer Script - can I just shoot during the day?
Post by: GammaScorpii on March 27, 2019, 02:14:19 PM
Hi,

Have not used this feature before but I'm trying to find a way of conserving battery to shoot over a weekend with a battery grip unattended, but only during the day. A 1 second shutter every minute is all I need, but obviously I don't want it to shoot at night. Can I use this feature to stop the intervalometer at 8pm and start at 6am?

Will a counting/idle 550D use much battery power?

Alternatively, would Auto Power Off set to 30 seconds and an external intervalometer waking it up every minute of the day and night be more efficient?

Thanks!
