Title: SEO: Google, ML ... shitty search results
Post by: Walter Schulz on January 22, 2019, 04:17:48 PM
Hello!

I humour myself using search strings "Magic Lantern Canon" in Google restricting search results to "Last 24 hours" from time to time. Useful to find new stuff related to ML ... once. The last days it seem Google has fallen for SEO of the bad kind: Pages filled with thousands of search strings comes up first and it goes on and on. Okay, for users able to interpret nonsensical strings like "www.blabla.wherethebadboysare/kajdfjaerfk/slakdfjljef/m=sadf/..." without clicking them its just annoying. For other users going to find information about ML it is almost impossible to get linked to ML home and forum page.
Disclaimer: I'm not a web master.
Q: Is there something the web admins can/should do about it?

EDIT: Search strings like "Magic Lantern" without restrictions work just fine.

Google should fix its own problems  :)
