You glossed over some steps.
If I just update the Magic Lantern files on the card (I have the right Camera firmware), do I
- Format in-camera and pick Remove Magic Lantern?
- Make it bootable on my pc
- Copy over the new files
Then what? Just Turn off and Turn on the camera with the updated card in?

And what's the difference with a Fresh Install? Remove ML entirely from the camera and then do the Firmware update?

And either you have your flood control set to infinity or the morons who designed this board software didn't account for misreading a captcha - because I had to make a new post.
Just pretend that you never had ML on your camera or card and it should work without issues (i.e. re-install ML from scratch, even if you already had it)
The captcha goes away after a few posts. Get over it. It's either the captcha or the spammer (Tier 1 spam gets blocked by captcha, Tier 2 by akismet, Tier 3 needs to be dealt manually)
