Unusually for me, I'm posting with no link to ML or Lua!
For the landscape photographers in the ML community, I thought you may be interested in my latest blog article: http://photography.grayheron.net/2018/11/infinity-focusing-in-your-head-rule-of.html
This introduces the Rule of 10 for landscape focusing.
Great article. Thanks! I remember something similar from an ancient book on Super8 filming by Ivan Watson – long out of print...
@timbytheriver
Thanks for the book reference, I'll try and look for it, as I love looking at old books.
I must say, I thought of the Rule of 10 idea myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if others had similar ideas.
Cheers
Garry
For those interested: here is an update on the Rule of 10. This time being used to help with focus stacking: http://photography.grayheron.net/2018/11/focus-bracketing-using-rule-of-10.html
Most probably my 'final' post on this subject: http://photography.grayheron.net/2018/11/further-examples-on-using-rule-of-10.html
