Title: Fake Light Field Photography a.k.a. High Speed Focus Bracketing
Post by: ONiLX on October 28, 2018, 02:41:29 PM
TLDR; Focus bracketing that happens as fast as the camera can shoot to generate "light field" photographs.

Who didn't love the insanely popular Lytro Illum!? Am I right!?!? :P But since Lytro, Inc. have abandoned their consumer base and shut down their online service, AND since the Illum could, at best, give you a 4 megapixel image, why not give the canon the ability to bracket focus the same way you can bracket aperture and shutter speed? In fact, since the camera should be able to read the f stop, why not make it akin to zone focus as well? I'm not sure if the camera can read the current focus from the lens, but if it can, maybe automatically adjust the different points the camera would adjust the focus to automatically.
