Title: MLV files fine in-camera, but messed up on PC
Post by: c5d3rawml on September 23, 2018, 12:09:42 PM
Hey,

When I shoot RAW, MLV files with Magic Lantern and view them in-camera, they look great, no problems what so ever. However, when I try to convert them from MLV to DNG/CDNG, the files are messed up. Any ideas?

You probably need newer software (version) to convert MLV to (c)dng.
About a year ago lossless compression was introduced in MLV file format, not every converter, especially the older ones can handle lossless MLV format.

Hey,

Thanks for answering. I tried MLV App and it had zero issues viewing and editing the MLV. Conversion to .mov is also very handy!
