Title: Canon 6D Raw video missing raw_rec.mo PLEASE HELP
Post by: stacu on September 16, 2018, 02:06:11 PM
Hi Everyone
Canon 6D Mark I
I am new user of Magic Lantern and I would like to use RAW video. The only problem is that in my options/modules there are not raw_rec.mo
I understand that I have to:
1. Obtain new files for: autoexec.bin, magic.sym, raw_rec.mo
2. Replace the old files in the card.  That is all!!
3. Usually it is a good idea to delete the MAGIC.CFG file which is in the SETTINGS directory to start saving new configuration settings which may apply to the new (updated) changes
The only thing is that I don't know where download this files
I have been through here https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5520.0 but I don't understand everything. There was also suggestion that files are here: https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5413.0 but it is empty
Can someone please help me to install RAW video options?
Kind regards
Ralph

That is referred to an old version of ML.

raw_rec.mo as been discontinued some years ago, now mlv_rec.mo (replace raw_rec) and mlv_lite.mo (is planned to replace mlv_rec in the future) are the currently modules which will handle raw recording on camera.

You can download current "stable" build from Nightly page (https://builds.magiclantern.fm) or you can try the experimental Lossless build from here (https://builds.magiclantern.fm/experiments.html)

If you like the latter, you may found useful information on crop_rec thread (https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=19300.0) and you may have an eye on latest news as there are some experiments on increasing fps for your camera; you can Levas's find post here (https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=19300.msg206034#msg206034)

You can extract the archive and copy all the files in the root of your card if you already followed install instructions (https://wiki.magiclantern.fm/install) to enable the bootflag on camera and make card bootable
