Title: Canon EOS M - Frames of colorful noise when converting lossless MLVs to DNGs
Post by: niijy on August 19, 2018, 06:00:23 PM
Hey, guys! New member here.

When I'm converting 14, 12 and 11-8 bit lossless MLVs to DNGs, they're all just frames of colorful noise. The playback of the lossless files on the camera is just fine, however. DNGs from the uncompressed 14, 12 and 10-bit MLVs are perfect, but I'm having no luck with the lossless ones. Here's a screenshot from raw2cdng to see what I'm talking about.

(Order: 14-bit, 12-bit, 10-bit, 14-bit lossless, 12-bit lossless, 11-8 bit lossless)

I'm using Danne's Nightly.2018Aug07.EOSM202 build. SD overclocking is on. FPS override to 24. 'Movie crop mode' is on. mlv_lite.mo is on.
Sorry if this is already a topic here.

Try export with Mlv App or batch_mlv.
And also if possible upload a sample mlv or dng file. Might be corruption. What settings did you use?

Or MLVFS or the latest mlv_dump. You need to use an MLV app that handles lossless compression.
